Watch this funny video on twitter...or is it tweet...or chirp? I like how he says "there's a reason teachers don't allow cell phones in 7th grade classrooms." Can you believe some of the things our congress people are writing during house meetings?

Angler
I've been reading through a Washington Post feature and really enjoying it. It's composed of excerpts from a book published before the election was over and is quite heavily slanted against VP Cheney, but at the same time it provides some great behind the scenes stories around some of the more controversial decisions relating to prisoner torture, warrantless domestic surveillance, and environmental protections. The author claims Cheney had a dominant hand in the policies surrounding these issues, but did so while leaving little trace of his influence. This portrayal of Cheney makes for an interesting character to read about. I hope you enjoy it. Of course, take it with a grain of salt.
The story that sucked me in was 'Conflict Over Spying Led White House To Brink' and the second part of the story, 'Cheney Shielded Bush From Crisis.' This shows how close we came to the upper levels of the DOJ resigning over the domestic spying program.
The Washington Post is a subscription site, but this link should allow you to read all of the associated stories.

For a Lesson in Coolness
....look no farther than to the blog that accompanies the Foundtrack mixtape.
For all things stylish and modern, you'll have a sore time finding a better blog than the Foundtrack. The well informed editors churn out blogs on the latest in fashion, music, cinema, and art faster than you can read a page of their posts. So, try and make yourself a little cooler and read some new posts. No doubt you will be googling some hip new bands and fashion designers when you finish reading.

Cake Love
In the words of Tracy Jordon, "happy Valentimes day!"
Daniel really spoiled me on Valentines day this year. He came home with two dozen roses and a massive chocolate cake. After eating copious amounts of the dense cake for a few days, we were both shocked when we stepped on the scale. Who knew cake could do that?

Beatrice is Two!!
On Saturday Daniel and I drove up to Baltimore for my niece's 2nd birthday party. Mike and Jo had some of their friends over and there were two other babies, both younger than Bea. There was delicious cake and fruit with fondue. Beatrice got numerous presents, including a new princess barbie doll. She and Elmo recently suffered a bad break-up because she was spending too much time with princess. She's pretty much over Elmo now, but they see each other from time to time.
