Democrats usually manage to screw things up for themselves before even having to take on their Republican opponents. Take our last riveting candidate John Kerry. This time, we've got Hilary tearing at Barack's flesh like he's a fresh piece of meat in the Kalahari desert. I keep saying it... If those two don't stop destroying each other McCain is going to win the election.
I'm sure many of you are tired of seeing Hilary's forced, frozen smile on TV every night while she self-righteously touts out all the mistakes the republicans have made and how she is going to fix them. (I have to admit, it's kind of why I secretly love her:)
Despite huge financial woes, her husband losing his marbles,so to speak, and losing most of the primary races, she's still here. She's like a cockroach, you just can't kill her.
I got a kick out of this article

It's pronounced "Sowdi Arabia"
I couldn't see a link to "share" this video as I am not familiar with this website. Give it a watch though. It's pretty good.

Chimpanzee research
When an animal so similar to us in nearly every way, spends its entire life in a 4X4 cell, completely separated from all contact with its family, it becomes hard for me to support scientific research. This, however, is the lesser of many animal right evils in that science makes some incredible gains in discovering cures for human diseases. The issue then becomes convincing companies that its worth their while to spend money to make conditions humane.
Primatologist, Jane Goodall has some excellent ideas

"As long as chimpanzees are used in medical research, it is our responsibility to treat them as humanely as possible. Their similarities to humans do not end with their physiology and immune systems. Chimp babies need the same things as their human counterparts: they need to be held, loved, talked to, and played with, to interact with other chimpanzees for play and romping, to have toys and enrichment so that they do not become bored and listless. Conditions for most lab chimpanzee have improved over the past several years. But we still have far to go. We must recognize our responsibility for the pain and suffering we have inflicted."

Fotographia
During my web travels today, I stumbled across this photolog. I like his scenery shots. This one is also cool, titled "empty head."

I found this a while ago and it's turning up on other sites now. Look at that expressive little face. D won't let us get a hedgehog.
